An accused for raping a minor was finally apprehended yesterday morning (Friday) in Sitio San Sebastian, Barangay Bato, Samboan town, Cebu after nearly three years of hiding from authorities .
Police arrested Timoteo Bacus, 24, a habal-habal driver residing in the same town.
SPO3 Neil Mansueto of the Samboan police station told Cebu Daily News that they receive a communication from officers from Plaridel police station in Misamis Occidental asking for confirmation on the presence of Bacus in Samboan.
Upon their confirmation, the arrest warrant issued by Calamba Regional Trial Court Branch 36 Judge Silvestre Orejana Jr. was sent to Samboan police station.
The warrant was issued on September 18, 2015.
Mansueto said that the accused moved to Cebu to evade from police arrest. The suspect, who is now married, has been residing in Samboan for three years.
