Some Lapu settlers voluntarily tear down homes

People living near the coastal area of Lapu-Lapu City have decided to voluntarily tear down their houses instead of letting the city to do the demolition.

Mila Uy, head of the City’s Urban Poor Office, said they just have to follow what the order from Mayor Paz Radaza.

Some residents, however, continue to reside near the city and are asking help from the Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas.
