A policewoman was killed after she was shot several times by still unidentified person early today (Thursday) in Tabuelan, Cebu.
The victim was identified as Police Officer 1 (PO1) Avita “Jiji” Sarsuelo who is assigned at the Provincial Admin Holding Unit of the Cebu Provincial Police Office (CPPO).
Sarsuelo used to be assigned in Pilar town in thw neighboring province of Bohol.
Police Officer 2 (PO2) Jerome Mellor,
Desk Officer of Tabuelan Police Station, told Cebu Daily News that they recieved a call from a concerned citizen to inform them of the shooting incident which happened past 5a.m. today in Barangay Poblacion.
Mellor said they continue to investigate the shooting incident.
