The Mandaue City government plans to allocate P3.86 million from its share of Pagcor funds for the purchase of emergency equipment for the city fire department.

But purchase will have to wait until such time that council members pass a resolution to authorize use of the allocation.

In this afternoon’s session, legislators referred to the Committee on Budget and Finance a letter request from City Administrator Danilo Almendras dated July 26, 2018 seeking authority for the use of Pagcor funds for the purchase of various equipment including breathing apparatus needed in emergency response and in order to suppress fire.

Attached to Almendras’ letter was a purchase request of the needed equipment.
