Department of Tourism in Central Visayas (DOT-7) Regional Director Shalimar Tamano has expressed concern on the travel advisory issued by the United Kingdom asking their citizens to refrain from visiting southern Cebu and other parts of the country.

Tamano said he is closely working with security and law enforcement groups in order to address the issue on the security of the tourists visiting the region.

A symposium focusing on the enhancement of security measures is also scheduled next month.
