New Mandaue public market likely to open next month
MANDAUE City’s new public market would likely open next month or on September if the finishing works could not be completed by the end of this month.
Mayor Luigi Quisumbing earlier announced that the new public market will be opened by the end of the month in time for the city’s 49th Charter Day celebration.
However, market administrator Ernesto Maringuran said there is a pending job that has yet to be completed and this would likely be finished by the first week of September.
The new market can accommodate up to 1,200 stalls.
