SAGBAF Enterprises barged into the semifinals after they booted out Sherilin Plastics, 73-59, in the quarterfinal stage of the Duterte Basketball League last Sunday at the Capitol Parish gym.
Former University of the Visayas standout and Cesafi Mythical Five member Jerome Napao helped push SAGBAF to the next round as he scored 21 points while RJ Acha helped him out with 15.
The loss was a bitter one for Sherilin Plastics, which ended up as the only high seed to tumble out of the tournament.
In other games, the defending champions Lycans routed Tito’s Kitchen, 72-60, as Fritz Dajalos and Nogie Saga tallied 16 and 15 points, respectively.
Also advancing was Paragsa with their 57-51 win over JTR. Former Letran Knights guard Franz Dysam was the team’s high-point man with 21 markers.
And finally, Steve Castro scored 22 to lead the Gifters past CompMan, 66-58.
