Pedal cab driver caught peddling drugs

CEBU CITY, Philippines – A driver of a pedal cab (locally known as pedicab) who allegedly peddled drugs on the side was collared by the police this evening in Barangay Basak San Nicolas, Cebu City.

Chief Inspector Henrix Bancoleta, the precinct commander of the San Nicolas Police Station, identified the arrested alleged drug personality as Eugene Managuit, 32, and a resident at Cabreros Street, Barangay Basak San Nicolas.

Managuit was arrested outside his house at past 8 p.m. in a buy bust operation conducted by the drug enforcement unit (DEU) of the San Nicolas police.

According to Bancoleta, an estimated P94,400 worth of suspected shabu (crystal meth) contained in several packets were seized from Managuit by the DEU team.
