Riders Basketball League Finals: Dax Riders draw first blood

Cebu City, Philippines — The Dax Riders leaned on a torrid third period scoring spree to put down the MSBC Riders, 79-62, in Game 1 of the Riders Basketball League finals last Sunday, March 31, 2019, at the Casals Village gym.

The game was tied at halftime at 35-all but the Dax Riders erected a 15-point advantage heading to the fourth, thanks to a commanding 20-5 blast in the third.

Carlo Tude led the way with 19 points, Brian Sabando added 15, Noel Torrefiel put up 14 while Ike Rosas had 13 as the Dax Riders now need only one more win to capture the title.

Game 2 is this Sunday, April 7, 2019.

Gerry Molina scored 16 points while Toytoy Minoza contributed 13 for the MSBC Riders.

The league is being supported by San Remigio Beach Club, V-DRINK Malunggay Juice, F45 Training Cebu Business Park and Silogan ni Gian. /bmjo
