How Cebuano stars spend their Holy Week
CEBU CITY, Philippines — Where are Cebuano stars and personalities spending their Holy Week?
Former Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) housemate Paul Jake Castillo and actress wife Kaye Abad are currently in a Europe trip.
The Cebuano actor shared a photo with Abad with the Tower Bridge of London in England behind as their background.
“Tower bridge. Fine. London bridge didn’t look like it’s London bridge,” he captioned the photo.
Abad uploaded her own photo of the bridge on her Instagram account and said, “The only thing we have in common.”
The celebrity couple also shared other photos on their Europe trip including the Giant’s Causeway in Ireland and Edinburgh Castle in Scotland.
Castillo and Abad tied the knot in 2016. Both have a son named Pio Joaquin.
Meanwhile, Cebuana actress Isabel Oli and husband John Prats are spending the holidays in Japan.
Oli updated her fans and followers through a series of Instagram stories and posts.
She posted a photo of her daughter Feather and husband John Prats taken at the pedestrian lane in Tokyo.
“Groovin’ on the streets of Tokyo,” she said.
Another photo shared by Oli was Oli with Feather and Prats taken by Coco Martin at Asukasa Temple.
“Insert @freedomprats #TravelWithThePratties,” she said.
Oli and Prats tied the knot in 2015. Both have two children named Feather and Freedom.
Aside from Martin, one of Oli’s Instagram story also confirmed that Kapamilya actress Yassi Pressman also joined the trip.
Prats, Martin, and Pressman are co-stars of ABS-CBN’s top-rating series, “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.”
For Dionne Monsanto, her Instagram stories showed that she is in Cebu.
Last Thursday, Monsanto shared an Instagram story taken at the Carbon Market in Cebu City.
“I am with my best friends Bing and En. I would like you to meet our local chemists,” she said.
She shared another video last Friday taken in Consolacion, Cebu.
“Family time,” she said.
Monsanto rose to fame after she joined PBB Season 2 in 2007.
At present, she is part of ABS-CBN’s television series, “The General’s Daughter” headlined by Angel Locsin, JC De Vera, Maricel Santos, Paulo Avelino, and Arjo Atayde.
Just like Monsanto, Mutya ng Pilipinas 2017 Ilene De Vera spent her break in Cebu.
The Cebuana beauty queen told CDN Digital that Holy Week for her is a form of retreat and reflection.
“I am spending some time praying with the whole family. Also, I’m looking forward to finishing some errands for the pageant like fitting my national costume and evening gown which are both handmade in Cebu,” she said.
Currently, De Vera is representing Mandaue City in Binibining Pilipinas 2019.
It is important for her to be at home during the break because she can spend time with her family.
“This is also to rediscover my values as a person and strengthen my faith in the competition,” she added./dbs
