Cebu City, Philippines—The second-seeded Cheetahs and the fourth-ranked Rams advanced to the semifinals of the Elite Basketball Club Cebu City – Season 14 after they ousted their respective opponents on Friday, May 10, 2019, at the Visayan Glass Gym in Guadalupe.
The Rams came through in the final canto to boot out the Panthers, 65-62. They were led by the 28 points of Edward Saberon. They will now wait for the winner of the game between the top-seeded Eagles and the eighth-seed Tigers.
The Cheetahs, meanwhile, dumped the Lions, 83-73.
Former Cesafi Mythical Five forward Jerome Napao had 22 points, Vernon Anfone added 20 while Jose Acha scored 16 to send the Cheetahs to the next round, where they will face the winner of the match between third seed Sharks and the sixth seed Wolves.
