Embassy of Sweden brings “Fashion Revolution” Exhibit to SM City Cebu

After its participation at the Cebu Design Week 2019 in IC3 Convention Center on September 13 to 15, the Swedish Embassy is set to bring the exhibit at the Northwing Atrium of SM City Cebu beginning September 16.

The Embassy of Sweden in Manila is bringing in the exhibition Fashion Revolution: The Future of Textiles to highlight Sweden’s active role in promoting sustainability in fashion – one of the most polluting industries of the world.

The Fashion Revolution exhibition is about the possibilities, and the challenges, that are changing the fashion industry to help save the environment. The Swedish fashion industry is in

a development phase in which a transition to more sustainable and circular business models is as natural as it is necessary. It’s an exciting time, when research, innovation and cross-disciplinary collaborations can inspire the industry globally.

This leg of the exhibition provincial tour in Cebu City will feature key pieces from the sustainable lines of Swedish fashion brands H&M and BabyBjorn, and renowned Cebu-based Filipino fashion brand Anthill Fabric Gallery.

Fashion Revolution exhibit is also supported by SM City Cebu, Swedish Institute, H&M, BabyBjorn, and Anthill Fabric Gallery.

The exhibition will run from September 16 to 21, 2019 at the Northwing Atrium of SM City Cebu.
