In malls where shops are lined with shelves chock-full of gadgets and cell phones how does a consumer pick out the best device on his or her budget?

Australian mobile phone retailer Allphones offers to help buyers do just that with postpaid bundle plans on a variety of cell phones and tablets for the mass market.

“In Allphones, you get to choose which phone or device you prefer, and bundle it with a postpaid plan you feel most convenient with,” Maureen Gallant, Allphones marketing chief said.

Gallant said they offer a wide array of phone brands that can be bundled with tablets in postpaid plans they can work out with the store.

Allphones also partnered exclusively with Globe for their postpaid plans. “Whatever (postpaid plan) you can get from Globe, you can get from us. But there are also Allphones exclusives,” Gallant said.

“You can even just walk out with a prepaid kit. (With us) there’s flexibility. You can have six months to a year,” she said.

Goff Hester, Allphones chief executive, said 50 percent of their contracts are bundled deals. “It’s because the buyers like bundles here. They like it when it a deal comes in a tablet with a phone. So we’re broadening more and more into the tablets now,” he added.

Hester says they first opened in Cebu last October.  Currently there are 53 branches nationwide with seven in Cebu: Ayala Center Cebu, Elizabeth Mall, Gaisano Fiesta Mall in Tabunok, Gaisano Grand Mactan, Gaisano Minglanilla Cebu, Insular Square Cebu in Mandaue and Robinson’s Place Cebu.
