All-new Honda City unveiled in Cebu
Honda Cars Cebu Inc. (HCCI) welcomed recently the all-new City subcompact sedan to its vehicle lineup.
HCCI held the launching at the activity center of the Ayala Center Cebu last April 25. It was spearheaded by officials of HCCI and attended by some of Honda’s loyal customers in Cebu.
The fourth-generation City is penned under Honda’s new H Design concept, which explains its mix of angular lines, creases and curves.
According to a press release, the all-new City is the first Honda model locally that bears the H Design concept, which will be applied to all future Honda global models. The new concept represents three key elements – High Tech (innovative spirit), High Tension (pursuit of a beautiful body structure and layout) and High touch (finely-honed surfacing and texture), that focus on overall pleasing human experience.
At first glance, the new City looks very similar to the previous edition, especially from the front. A closer look will reveal the highlights of the new concept design of Honda, which gives the new model a stylish yet sporty look from every angle.
Aside from the design, the all-new City also has new convenient features and an improved engine.
The City offers first in class features such as the 7-inch touch screen display audio, the application of such equipment minimizes the use of buttons, making it easier to operate while radiating a premium feel. The touch screen display audio features functions such as hands-free telephone (HFT) and audio streaming via Bluetooth connectivity and voice recognition control. The audio and Bluetooth HFT can be operated via the controls mounted on the leather-wrapped steering wheel. Just below the display audio unit, is the automatic air-conditioning system that also comes with user-friendly touch panel.
Another addition is the Smart Key with Push Start System, which intelligently locks and unlocks the doors without even touching the smart key. The push button starts or turns off the engine without the use of a key.
The City will come in four variants and will all run with the same 1.5-liter engine. This engine is basically a carryover from the previous edition but improvements have been made to improve fuel efficiency.
