Do you want to lose weight, but don’t know which food can help?

Having at least two servings of salmon per week can reduce your risk of chronic illnesses  like heart disease, diabetes, and cognitive decline.

Thanks to the salmon’s lean protein and polyunsaturated fat, adding salmon as a part of a nutrient-dense, a veggie-filled meal can help you stay satisfied longer,  minimizing the urge to eat more later.

Mangosteen is relatively low in calories yet provides many essential nutrients. It is primarily known for its high concentration of antioxidants.

A fruit native to Southeast Asia, it is now considered by Eastern and Western regions as a super-fruit.

Research suggests that a cup (196-gram) serving of canned, drained mangosteen can offer 3.5 grams of fiber, 1 gram of fat, 1 gram of protein and 9 percent of Vitamin C.

Due to its antioxidant content, mangosteen can significantly enhance the immune system including the prevention of cardiovascular disorders.

The fiber in seaweed also does not contain many calories allowing your stomach to stay full.

However, as new research shows, some seaweed are more healthful than others, so make sure to do your research first.

Cacao

Cacao beans are the main ingredient in chocolate. Extracted from a pod-like fruit that grows on the Theobroma cacao tree, each fruit contains about 20-60 beans.

Organic cacao is rich in antioxidants that can improve our immune system.

Each 100 gram of cacao supplement contains about 160 mg of calcium and has over 40 times more antioxidants compared to blueberries.

Aside from being a mood enhancer, organic cacao is full of magnesium  that helps your heart to remain healthy and turn glucose into energy.
