Top best starter Pokemon

Do you want to be the very best, like no one ever was?

(insert Pokemon theme song)

For starters, if you are serious about becoming the best Pokemon trainer, choosing your starter Pokemon is a crucial component you cannot skip.

But which starter Pokemon is the best to choose when you begin your Pokemon journey?

If you really want to be the best, you need to pick the best starter Pokemon when you are given the choice by the professor (Water, Fire, Grass-type).

Froakie

Froakie, which evolves into Frogadier and eventually the popular Water and Dark-type Greninja, is a great Pokemon to start with.

Besides the fact that this Pokemon uses its tongue as a scarf, this is also the best starter Pokemon in the Kalos Region.

Its speed is off the charts, which guarantees you to hit first. Its special attack is great and his attack is fairly good coupled with great health and special defense stats.

Mudkip

Though cute, Mudkip shines when he evolves into Marchtomp and then evolve into Swampert thanks to his dual-type -Water and Ground.

His ground type helps you defend against water type weakness–electricity. Plus, fire, poison, rock, and steel types will have a hard time putting damage on his health. The only downside though is this starter Pokemon has really poor speed.

Torchic

Another fire type Pokemon, Torchic evolves into a fire-fighting type Combusken, and then evolves into the majestic Blaziken.

By the time Torchin evolves into Blaziken, it will possess impressive attack and special attack stats, making this pokemon a soon-to-be powerhouse that almost gives Swampert a run for his money.

Its speed is also a decent improvement compared to Swampert.

Chimchar

Another Fire-type starter Pokemon in the Sinnoh region. Chimchar, dual fire, and fighting type is a heavy hitter, especially when it evolves into Monferno and then into Infernape.

This Pokemon’s health, physical and special defense stats are pretty decent, but it is physical and special; attack and speed are the real deal.

His fire and fighting type moves are highly capable of putting great damage on its opponents.

Rowlet

Rowlet is the best starter Pokemon in Generation VII.

In Pokemon Sun, choosing Rowlet will come pretty handy since you will be dealing with water and grass type pokemon in the early stages of the game. Rowlet can easily take care of them thanks to its grass and flying moves.

And Rowlet’s grass type moves take great damage against the first two Kahunas in the Alola region.
