RTC Branch 86 closed as court employee tests positive for COVID-19
MANDAUE CITY, Cebu—The Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 86 in barangay Tipolo here will be physically closed after a court employee tested positive for the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
In a memorandum dated January 31, 2021, the Office of the Executive Judge said the RTC branch 86 will be “physically closed” from February 1 to February 5, 2021. The infected employee last reported for work last January 22, 2021.
Lawyer Lizer Malate, head of the city’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC), said the close contacts of the employee are scheduled to undergo swab test and the office is set to be decontaminated.
Meanwhile, the Mandaue City Prosecutors Office (CPO) will also be closed for two days until February 2, 2021.
Mary Francis Daquipil, the city prosecutor, said this is because a child of one of their employees tested positive for COVID-19.
The employee last reported for work last January 29, 2021. They are now awaiting the employee’s swab result.
The 27 CPO personnel are currently under home isolation.
Daquipil said operations won’t be affected with this development.
“Nagkuan mi og online inquest mi, ma file ra gyapon ang kaso. All others, kanang counter affidavit sa other provinces, ipaagi sa email kung dili gyud urgent ang i-file,” she said.
