MANDAUE CITY, Cebu – Cebuanos can again visit the barangay hall in Barangay Luz, Cebu City starting on Monday, February 8, for their transactions like the filing of applications for the issuance of business clearances and permits.

Barangay officials said it is now safe to reopen especially the second and third floors of the government building more than two weeks after an employee became a close contact of a person who tested positive for the coronavirus disease.

However, operations will only be limited from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to allow disinfection later in the day.

In an advisory, barangay officials said that the number of daily visits will also be regulated to ensure observance with health and safety protocols.

Visitors are required to wear face masks and face shields while a hand washing area will be placed near the building’s entrance.

Temperature check will also be required for those who will be visiting the second and third floor offices while the crowd will be limited to only 20 persons at a time.

Priority numbers will be issued and a one entrance, one exit policy will be adopted as part of the barangay’s crowd control measure.

As of January 27, the Barangay Luz Emergency Operations Center (EOC) already recorded a total of 42 active cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
