Cebu jins bag golds in Manila

Team Cebu-Japan Hayashiha Shitoryukai Karatedo bagged two gold medals in the 3rd Asia Pacific Karatedo and Kobudo Championships in Manila last weekend.

Winning gold medals for the Cebu team were Rafael Vidal and John Larry Cinco. Vidal topped the kata 10-11 years old group while Cinco won in the 11-12 kumite category.

The Vidal siblings also bagged medals with Ayanna Lein settling for a silver in 6-7 years-old kata competition and a bronze in the kumite competition. Their eldest, Ricah Faith, grabbed a silver medal in the kumite 12-13 years-old division.

Their father and head trainer Reynan Vidal, meanwhile, finished with a bronze medal in the masters kata division and got a silver in the masters kumite .

The tournament was participated by more than a dozen nations who were members of the  Hiyashi- shitoryu kai karatedo Organization Asia-Pacific Region.
