Drug enforcers seize new shabu-Viagra mixture
A call center agent and his friend were arrested in Cebu City for allegedly selling a new kind of drug that mixes shabu and a Viagra-like substance in ampules.
Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-7, who made the arrest, said the new concoction went by the street name “Fly High.”
Jose Rafael Dizon and Richard Tan were arrested inside a fast food chain in barangay Lahug, Cebu City last Thursday.
They allegedly sold 67 ampules of the drug to aa undercover policeman at at P1,500 per ampule.
PDEA lawyer Charles Jensen White said 56 capsules tested positive of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu, and another substance that was the main ingredient of Viagra.
Dizon, who said he was a registered nurse working as a call center agent, denied that he sells drugs.
He said Tan, a cellphone technician, was his friend but that he had no idea about illegal drug activity.
Tan admitted selling the capsules but said he priced them at P900 each, not P1,500.
“It has Viagra, diet pills, and vitamins. It does not contain shabu,” said Tan.
He said that most of his buyers just wanted to boost their sexual drive and that he was unaware that the capsules had illegal content.
The two are detained at the PDEA office.
In Toledo City, almost P1.2 million worth of shabu and assorted firearms were seized from three men who were arrested in sitio Lawis, barangay Luray II, on Friday.
A three-week surveillance was conducted before the a buy-bust operation was made.
Police said Nestor Villoria Pagdalian, the main target, was believed to be dealing in drugs, and capable of disposing of 250 grams of shabu per week in Toledo City and neighboring municipalities.
Also arrested were Alexis Cañeda Velayo and Charlie Olimba Mandawe.
Confiscated from their possession were 28 assorted sizes of plastic sachets of suspected shabu and tooters.
The 100.81 grams has an estimated street value of P1.189 million, said police.
A Smith and Wesson magnum .22 revolver and .38 caliber handgun were also seized.
The operation was conducted by the Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) and the Provincial Intelligence Detection Management Branch (IDMB) which are preparing charges of illegal possession of firearms and violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Drugs Act.
The three men are detained in the the PDEA-7 office.
