UNIVERSITY of Southern Philippines Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the renowned Cebu Philharmonic Orchestra to help expose the AB-Music students of the university to an orchestra experience.
The signing was led by the president of USPF Dr. Alicia P. Cabatingan and Marc Hamlet Mercado president of CPO, last October 23, at the USPF Board Room in Lahug Campus.
In this agreement, Cebu Philharmonic Orchestra finds its home at University of Southern Philippines Foundation making the university as their official practice venue. The signing was witnessed by USPF and CPO officials.
Also in this MOU, CPO will be conducting workshops to enhance the music talents of the music majors of the university and will be given a rare chance to become a member of the prestigious Cebu Philharmonic, if they would meet its rigid standards. In this coming Christmas Concert of the USPF Chorale, the Cebu Philharmonic Orchestra will be its special guest to be held at the USPF Theater for the Performing Arts. This will be a great musical experience to celebrate the season.
