6 nabbed in drug operations

Six persons were arrested in four separate drug operations in  the cities of Mandaue and Lapu-Lapu that yielded several plastic packs suspected to contain shabu and firearms.

Opao Police Station in Mandaue City arrested one Rodel Demape, 24, in a buy bust operation and recovered two packs believed to contain shabu, a .357 revolver and tin foils at past 3 p.m. Friday in barangay Umapad.

Another two persons were arrested after they were allegedly caught transporting illegal drugs Friday evening during a checkpoint on M.C Briones Highway in barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City.

The suspects were identified as Janil Pepito, 27 of Barangay Lataban, Liloan town and Renato Canin, 47, of Zone Gabi in Barangay Paknaan, Mandaue city.

In Lapu-Lapu City, the Hoops Dome Police with personnel from the City Anti-illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group (CAIDSOTG) arrested Ricky Manuel, 35, and Rodrigo Siroy, 34, in a buy bust operation Friday afternoon in barangay Ibo, Lapu-Lapu  City and recovered four packs suspected to contain shabu and a .45 caliber pistol.

In another operation conducted by CAIDSOTG in barangay Buaya, one Brydon Bailosis, 32, was arrested and 20 small packs believed to contain shabu,  aluminum tin foils, a lighter and the P100 marked money were recovered.
