Despite being overshadowed by the counterparts in the other events, the Cebu City Don Carlos A. Gothong Memorial National High School and Cebu Normal University (CNU) proved they also have their own strength in their own sporting event as both schools carted away multiple gold medals in archery in the 24th Cebu City Olympics.

The Cebu City Don Carlos A. Gothong Memorial National High School bagged a total of five gold medals in the event, while CNU took home three, leaving no golds for other schools.
Spearheading Cebu City Don Carlos A. Gothong Memorial National High School’s archery campaign are Junmar Junas and Chinney Garcia, who won in the boys and girls divisions, respectively.

Garcia also plucked a second gold by topping the Olympic round.

Other Cebu City Don Carlos A. Gothong Memorial National High School gold medalists are Roselle Amamag (30-meter distance competition) and its Team Event bets.

CNU, for its part, was led by Chloe Abad, who topped the 40-meter distance, the 50-meter distance and the Single Fita Round events.
