‘Prime Fight Series 2’: 5 more pro bouts to spice up Melindo-Buatkrathok OPBF title fight

CEBU CITY, Philippines — Prime Stags Sports added five professional bouts and an exhibition bout to spice up the “Prime Fight Series 2” on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2023, at the Cebu City Sports Center  (CCSC) field. 

The fight card features the main event duel between the former International Boxing Federation (IBF) and International Boxing Organization (IBO) world light flyweight champion Milan “El Metodico” Melindo and Thai Chaiwat Buatkrathok. 

They will battle for the vacant Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) silver featherweight title. 

In the co-main event, the reigning World Boxing Foundation (WBF) Australasian flyweight champion Kit Ceron Garces takes on Noli James Maquilan in their non-title bout. 

The five undercard bout features Prime Stags Sports Stable’s Marco Pumar versus General Santos’s Alvin Camique in an eight-rounder bout in the 115-pound division. 

Also Omega Boxing Gym’s Carlo Bacaro takes on Manila’s Ryan Sermona in another eight-rounder under the 147lbs division. 

Tabuelan’s Elmo Traya faces Edsil Jungco of Iloilo for six rounds in the 147lbs division. 

Chao Sy Stable Cebu’s Ken Albert Billita squares off against John Rey Labajo of 10,000BC Stable for four rounds in the 112lbs division. 

Also, Kier Torregosa of Prime Stags Sports Stable will trade leathers with Henry Flor of Bohol in a four-rounder 115lbs bout. 

An exhibition bout featuring popular social media personality “Badboy Ng Cebu” will be added to the fight card. 

Besides the pro bouts, there will be 10 amateur bouts featured in the morning and afternoon.

The official weigh-in of the fight card is slated tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2023, at 10 AM at the SM Seaside City Cebu. 

Tickets are still available at the Prime Fight Gym in Talisay City and at the CCSC. Tickets are priced at P50 (general admission), P100 (upper box C), P500 (upper box B), P1,000 (upper box A), and P1,500 (VIP).
