Simeon Gabutero, the construction worker who confessed to killing his girlfriend, Reah Mae Tocmo, said he did it out of jealousy and anger about the money that he has been sending her.

Police Major Angelito Valleser, chief of Labangon Police Station, told reporters on Thursday, August 10, that Gabutero admitted that on Sunday, July 16, he agreed to meet Tocmo, for the first time in his boarding house in Guadalupe at around 6:00 a.m.

LTO eyes malls to fast-track release of license plates

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) is eyeing to tap malls as distribution areas for unclaimed motor vehicle and motorcycle license plates.

In a statement, LTO Chief Asec. Atty. Vigor Mendoza II said this move would help ensure the faster releasing of license plates.
