CROSSFIT Pintados opened its fitness center at the E-Zone in Panagdait, barangay Mabolo, Cebu City last Saturday.
Cebuano Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) promoter Renault Lao partnered with Crossfit Pintados to build the 400-square meter, two-story building that offers the fast rising sport of crossfit.
The opening ceremony was highlighted with a mini crossfit competition featuring the members of Crossfit Pintados.
“It’s an all-in-one fitness center, we don’t just offer crossfit classes to everyone but also mixed martial arts (MMA), jiu-jitsu, kick boxing, yoga and Krav Maga sessions,” Lao said.
Crossfit, which originated in the United States, is a combined variety of workouts that is timed and scored. It is already very popular in the US and Metro Manila.
Lao said they are planning to hold regular competitions to further promote the sport to the Cebuanos.
