What gun was used in crime?
Mandal also said that they had yet to find out what type of firearm was used in the crime.

(We cannot identify yet (the gun used) because we did not retrieve an empty cartridge (at the crime scene). What we retrieved was just a slug, but we cannot identify from where this what caliber of gun this came from. We had yet to have it examined in the crime laboratory.)

“Pero ang kaning sa ulo, mao nang wa ni siya namatay kay dili gyud siya [grabe] murag tapsing lang ba. Wa gyud siya ma fatal. Pero delikado gihapon iyang kahimtang tungod kay naa man gud sa ulo,” Mandal said.
(But the one in the head, this is why he survived is not a serious wound it was more like a graze wound. He was not fatally shot. But his condition is still quite serious because this is still a head wound.)

POI, ongoing investigation
Mandal also said that they already had a person of interest (POI) that could be the person involved in the shooting.
The police officer, however, begged off from disclosing more details because this might jeopardize their ongoing investigation.

(For now, we are looking for more evidence to link this person to the crime.)
