Jealousy over a woman’s former boyfriend started the mauling of a man in Barangay Tisa in Cebu City early on Monday morning, September 25, 2023.

Police Major Angelito Valleser, Labangon Police Station chief, said in a phone interview with CDN Digital that the new boyfriend of the woman allegedly got jealous of seeing the woman’s former boyfriend in the area.

Minglanilla: Man, who did not use pedestrian lane, got bumped by bus, dies

A 50-year-old man, who crossed the street a few meters away from the pedestrian lane, died after he was bumped by a Ceres Bus at past  7 p.m. on Sunday, September 24, along the national highway in Barangay Linao-Lipata, Minglanilla town in southern Cebu.

Police Major Kalvin Jomari Golitod, acting Minglanilla Police Station, in his report identified the victim as Rey Espina of Barangay Mambaling, Cebu City.

Oil firms to slash fuel prices by 20 to 50 centavos per liter

Local oil firms will roll back fuel prices effective Tuesday, September 26. 

This will give Filpinos a reprieve from two and a half months of increases in the pump prices of petroleum products.

In separate advisories, the oil companies said they would be rolling back the prices of gasoline and diesel by 20 centavos per liter.

The price of kerosene will likewise decline by 50 centavos per liter.

TV host Joey de Leon has once again found himself at the center of controversy after he made a joke pertaining to “lubid” or rope during the “Gimme 5” segment of noontime show “EAT” last Sept. 23.

In a video captured by one @AltStarMagic on X (formerly Twitter), de Leon can be seen interacting with a contestant who was thinking of answers for things that can be put around a person’s neck.
