Batch 2012 and 2013 clash in Division C finals of SHAABAA Season 26 on Sunday

CEBU CITY, Philippines — The Division C defending champions, the Heritage Supreme Land Developer-Batch 2012 and the Nest Workspaces-Batch 2013 are set on a collision course in the much-awaited Sacred Heart Ateneo Alumni Basketball Athletic Association (SHAABAA) Season 26 finals tip off on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at the Magis Eagles Arena in Mandaue City.
Batch 2012 and 2013’s game one of their best-of-three finals series will kick off at 5:30 p.m., along with the two finals showdowns in Divisions A and B.
In their previous encounter, Batch 2013 routed Batch 2012, 81-51, last July, but this time, the stakes got higher as the SHAABAA Division C title has been put on the line.
Batch 2012 will be headed by its ex-pro cager scoring machine Adven Jess Diputado along with former National University (NU) Bulldogs team captain Dave Wilson Yu. They will be backed by Aaron Baldwin Sing, Maverick Fitz Suarez, and Julius Salvador Cadavis.
The rest of Batch 2012 will be manned by SHAABAA President Lloyd Jeffrey Lua Atillo, Maverick Fitz Suarez, Reynald Anson Lim, Beau Kristian Fernando, Alexander Cole Lim, Andre Pacheco, and Laiel Jomer Medalle.
Meanwhile, Batch 2013’s roster is nothing short of elite players. Former pro cager Rendell Senining and Fletcher Galvez offers Batch 2013 a dynamic duo on the back court and painted area.
They will get help from Arc Gabriel Araw-Araw, Jose Francis Gatchalian, and Emman Malazarte. Batch 2013’s line-up is comprised of Jarryd Jon Ong, Gerard Beniga, Rolan Go Bui, Xavier Catan, Al John Lim, Alphonsus Doyon, Manu Jordana Fernando, Joseph Chua, and Matthew Louis Mina.
Besides the SHAABAA Division C’s finals duel, Bayfront Hotel-Batch 1990/1997 and ARQ-Batch 2001’s Division A best-of-three finals series will also kick off tomorrow at 2:30 p.m.
It will be followed by the SHAABAA Division B’s finals series featuring defending champions, the Cebu Landmasters-Batch 2003 against the Efficascent Boost-BRC-Batch 2010 at 4 p.m.
On the other hand, former Division A champion, the Core Pacific Money Exchange-Batch 2000, will take on the Speed Demon Vivant-Batch 1994/1995/1996 in the winner-take-all battle-for-third game at 1 p.m.
