CABC Boysen Cup 2023 cage wars kick off Sunday

CEBU CITY, Philippines—The Cebu Architects Basketball Club (CABC) Boysen Cup fires off on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at the Benedicto College-Cebu City Campus gym.

Six teams will battle for hardcourt supremacy in the two-month tilt bankrolled by Boysen through its marketing executive Miggy Aparri.

“Simple ra atong tumong sa atong liga which is to create camaraderie ug panagtapok sa atong fellow architects”, said Aparri in a presser.

Also present was CABC chairman Paolo Alberto during the presser at the Club Filipino clubhouse at the FGU Tower on Saturday, October 14, 2023.

“Nalipay sad ta sa Boysen kay grabe ilahang suporta nato sukad pa sauna. Karon sila na gyud ang nag host aning basketball tournament nato,” said Alberto.

The title contenders are the Boysen Permacoat, Boysen Knoxout, Konstrukt, Nation Paints, Virtuoso Silk Touch, and Titan Superflex Elastomeric Paint.

These teams will be manned by the members of the CABC who are mostly architects and personnel from Boysen as part of building camaraderie through basketball.

The tournament will play a single round-robin in the elimination. The top four will advance to the semifinals, with the top two qualifiers enjoying twice-to-beat advantage over the lower-ranked squads.

The winners will then clash for the CABC Boysen Cup championship.  /rcg
