Dead man, with wounds in head and face, found in Balamban
CEBU CITY, Philippines — The dead man, who was believed to have been beaten using a hard object, was found at around 7:00 a.m. on Friday in Sitio Buliring, Barangay Abucayan in Balamban town in western Cebu.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Joey Bicoy, Balamban Police Station chief, said that they found wounds possibly caused by being beaten by a hard object, on the victim’s head and face.

Police said the dead victim was identified as 16-year-old John-John Mahinay, whose body was claimed by his family members this afternoon.
The victim, when found, was wearing a blue and gray sweatshirt and blue short pants.

Barangay officials in the area reported the dead man to the police.
No gunshot wounds were seen in the victim’s body.
The Balamban Police Station continues to investigate the incident.
