Gov’t worker killed in Moalboal road accident
A GOVERNMENT worker was killed in a road accident in Moalboal town, southwest Cebu last Thursday afternoon.
Police identified the fatality as Danilo Lataza, extension officer of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
Police said Lataza was heading south on a motorcycle when the accident occurred around 5 p.m. in sitio Lukbon, barangay Poblacion East.
PO3 Jimmy Lamosao said Lataza tried to overtake a trisikad but lost control of the motorcycle and ended up hitting the vehicle in front.
The trisikad driver, Calixto Hentero, 57, was also injured.
Both men were brought to the Badian District Hospital where Lataza later died.
