A RESTAURANT owner was shot and wounded by a customer following an argument over six pesos last Tuesday night in barangay Mabolo, Cebu City.

Pedro Hingoyon Ricablanca, 52, was wounded in the back and shoulder.

The assailants identified as Eugene Taripe and Richard Apolinar fled after the incident.

Police said the two men arrived at the victim’s restaurant around 7 p.m. and ordered some food.

When  the two customers paid for their  order, the wife of the eatery owner complained that the payment was short by six pesos.

The two customers insisted that they paid the correct amount.

Ricablanca intervened  in the argument to defend his wife. At that instance, one of the customers drew a gun and shot him.

SPO4 Alex Dacua said the victim was able to run for safety. He was later brought to a hospital.
