Police yesterday released from custody a Czech tourist and a gay man who were arrested during a sexual encounter in a parking lot in Mango Square in Cebu City.

The management of Mango Square will  no longer pursue a complaint against  Peter Slavic, 23, and Samuel Sauro, 21.
However, the business  owner said Sauro is banned from entering the  premises of the  compound which is popular for its bars and nightlife.

Before their release, a certain Mr. Go who said he was from the consulate of the Czech Republic  went to Police Station 2 to appeal on behalf of Slavic that charges not be filed.

Chief Insp. David Señor said he referred Go’s request to the management of Mango Square and its security officers.

It was the security guards  who arrested the  two men at 4 a.m. on Sunday  and turned them over to the police.

The foreigner arrived in Cebu a few days ago and was planning to visit Oslob town  for its tourist attraction,  whale shark  watching.
