Heruela running third in Best Player of the Conference race
CEBUANO guard Quinton Brian Heruela continues to make his mark in the PBA D-League as he ranks third in the race for the Best Player of the Conference in the ongoing Aspirants Cup.
According to the statistics that were tallied just before the league took its holiday break, the 5-foot-10 alumnus of the University of Cebu Webmasters had 31.10 statistical points after 11 games.
Heruela is currently leading the league in the assists and steals departments with averages of 8.1 and 2.5, respectively. He is also tallying 8.1 points and 5.8 rebounds and is one of the main reasons behind Big Chill’s current 10-1 (win-loss) record.
Heruela is just a breath behind the current leader, Rod Ebondo of the Café France Bakers, who has 32.56 SPs, and NLEX’s resident gunner Garvo Lanete, who has 31.40 SPs.
Aside from statistics, votes from the PBA Commissioner’s Office and media, and the conference finish of the team will all be considered to determine the winner.
