Fun with environmental awareness at Lunatrek

By: Edison Delos Angeles September 24,2015 - 09:00 AM

A MINI-ADVENTURE race and a boodle fight under a full moon at the beach will highlight this year’s Lunatrek Full Moon Adventure Festival.

The event, scheduled for Sept. 26-27, will be held at the Newtown Beach Club in Mactan.

Organizer Cebu Mountaineering Alliance, Inc. (CMA) used to hold the event in the mountains. This will be the first time that it will be held at the beach, said CMA founder Ricky Sevilla.

Sevilla said the event is “a fun event that aims to attract Cebuano attention to  the need to care for the environment.”

Aside from listening to discussions on climate change,  participants can join a mini-adventure race, enjoy the music of Cebuano bands, go swimming and have a boodle fight dinner.

Registration is P350 for the first 100 registrants and P450 for late registrants.

A free shuttle will be available at the UP Cebu grounds at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
