PB suspends five Alegria councilors
The Cebu Provincial Board (PB) approved a committee recommendation to suspend five Alegria municipal councilors for three months due to dereliction of duty.
In an Oct. 20 report, the committee on complaints and investigations found councilors Emelita Guisadio, Nemia Alocillo, Alejandro Villaneza, Ma. Leticia Donayre, and Diosdado Lerio guilty of the charge for their absences in over 10 sessions.
The PB approved the recommendation during its regular session this afternoon.
The councilors may still file a motion for reconsideration.
