DEFENDING champions Southwestern University (SWU) Cobras hopes to start its title-retention bid strong as it takes on separate opponents in the Cebu Schools Athletics Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) men’s beach volleyball tournament today at the Aznar Sand Courts.
The Cobras, led by MVP Dave Cabaron and Rommel Pepito, will open their campaign against the University of Cebu (UC) Webmasters then take on the University of the Visayas (UV) Green Lancers before finishing off the day against the Cebu Institute Technology-University (CIT-U) Wildcats.
Also playing a handful of games are University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) and the CIT-U.
USJ-R battles UV, University of Southern Philippines-Foundation and UC. CIT-U will clash with USP-F, UC, USJ-R and SWU.
In other games, the USP-F Panthers will look to bounce back from their lackluster campaign in the indoor volleyball tournament as they take on the UV Green Lancers.
