OPONGANONS are in for a big treat this weekend as the 2015 MS Motosuit Motocross Series goes to Lapu-Lapu City this Saturday with the staging of the 1st Mayor Paz Radaza Motocross Cup.

The competition will serve as the fourth leg of the  Lou Ornopia-organized series. The event will be held at the   Gaisano Island Mall in barangay Pajo.

“I can assure every Oponganon that they are all set to witness a very exciting and highly entertaining motocross action. Most probably, this will be our last race of the year and we want to make sure that it will end with a big bang,” said Lou Ornopia, owner of MS Motosuit stores.

Top riders to watch out for are Jonjon Adlawan, Jubenile Abellar, John Flores, Dondon Yuzon and Paulo Inoc.

Ornopia added that  set to see action are daredevils from Negros, Bohol, Iloilo, Leyte and Mindanao.

Categories in the  competition are the mini 60cc and 85cc, beginners, local enduro, open enduro, executive A, B and C, novice, intermediate, expert and the premiere pro open.

The event is one of the highlights of Lapu-Lapu’s annual fiesta celebration in honor of their beloved patroness Virgen de la Regla (Virgin of the Rule).

Co-organized by Barangay Captain Isabelito Darnayla, the event is backed by the city government of Lapu-Lapu under the flagship of Mayor Paz Radaza in association with Congresswoman Aileen Radaza.
