AFTER THEIR opening day triumph, Cebuana netter Hanna Espinosa and Manila City’s Erika Manduriao won’t have much time to celebrate as they battle Macy Gonzales and Kendies Malinis in the semifinal round of the Peugeot Philippine Tennis Open Regional qualifiers today in Cabanatuan City.
Espinosa and Manduriao started their campaign with a 6-0, 6-1 blowout of Marielli Cruz and Jhustime Leigh Cunanan while the Gonzales-Malinis duo crushed Kristin Von Gulusino and Gie Gatchalian in straight sets, 6-1, 6-1.
In other semis pairing, Marinel Rudas and Edilyn Balanga will go against Monica Cruz and April Santos.
The winners will then vie for the title in the 4 p.m.final.
