AN ESTIMATED 300 to 400 bike enthusiasts from different groups gather for a fun ride today dubbed Kuyog Amigo, Sikad Sugbo at the South Road Properties.
This fun ride will start at 5:30 a.m. at the Lantaw Restaurant SRP. Cyclists will complete a 52-kilometer route from SRP to Uling, Naga, and vice versa.
Cebu City councilor Gerry Carillo, a bike enthusiast, said in a press conference that the event hopes to raise awareness of road sharing.
Carillo was joined by organizers Sugbo Bikers’ Boy Rabasol, Hard Multisports IGAT Athletes’ Earl Villamala, Voltaire Montebon, John Chad Alcano, Niño Abarquez and Aileen Guardo.
Abarquez said the fun ride also aims to unite bikers in the city.
A 25-kilometer per hour speed limit will be set for the participants to make sure no rider will be left during the acticity.
