9 people facing theft cases

The nine people from Manila, who were arrested for pickpocketing during the Sinulog revelry, will spend  more time in a Cebu city jail after two of their victims decided to pursue a theft case against them.

The suspects, namely, Guillermo Diaz; Arvin Jan Ballesteros, 22; Renz Lester Boncalan, 26; Cindy Mercado; Carla Mendoza, 23; May Vilasco, 25; Adrian Lopez, 34; Cris Ramos Fernandez, 33; and Charizze Cruz Adriano, 24, were transferred to the Cebu City jail  after they failed to produce a barangay clearance, which is a requirement to post bail.

The court recommended  bail of P24,000 for each of them.
