Pressed for time and preparation, the Cebu Landmasters-Bogo City head coach Jun Tan has announced that he will be holding an open tryout tomorrow, 4 p.m., at the University of Southern Philippines Foundation gym along Salinas Drive in Lahug.

With the Countrywide Basketball League’s opening nearing on the horizon, the veteran head coach is still in the hunt for players who will play their hearts out for the Bogo-based squad that is owned and backed by Bogo City Mayor Celestino “Junie” Martinez and successful businessman, Joe Soberano of the Cebu Landmasters.

Tan, a former coach of the University of San Jose-Recoletos who also helmed the Cebu Landmasters-Mandaue City in the defunct Liga Pilipinas, said that he is hoping that Cebu’s best amateur players will give his team a shot.

This includes former Southwestern University guard Junrey Ortuyo, former USJ-R aces Kevin Villafranca and James Regalado among many others.
