AFTER LOSING in the doubles competition, Cebuano rising tennis sensation Arthur Craig Pantino got a crack in singles play as he zoomed into the semifinals without sweat following a default win over Marc Reyes in the Peugeot Philippine Tennis Open (PPTO) men’s regional qualifiers yesterday at the Valle Verde Country Club.

Earlier in the tournament, Pantino and his doubles partner John Bryan Otico lost to Arthur Salibio and Raymond Surait in the opening round by default.

The 14-year old Pantino will battle the winner of the Kim Saraza-Rulando Ruel match in today’s semifinals.
