Cebu City seniors to get P2,000 on Friday
Senior citizens are set to receive cash assistance of P2, 000 on Friday, the first tranche of this year’s P12, 000 assistance.
A separate distribution of P1, 000 is set on Monday for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) who are scheduled to receive assistance of P5, 000 from city hall this year.
Distribution of cash assistance will be made in the city’s 80 barangays, said city administrator Lucelle Mercado.
“We urge the senior citizens to claim their cash assistance early because the distribution in the barangays is more efficient compared to getting it at City Hall,” said Mercado said.
Seniors who will not be able to claim their share of assistance on Friday are advised to visit the distribution center which the City Treaurer’s Office will set up at the Plaza Sugbu grounds on Monday.
