CEBU City Mayor Michael Rama led the ceremonial concrete pouring on the suspended slabs of the Cebu City Medical Center (CCMC) building Wednesday morning.

The activity was part of the series of events for the commemoration of the city’s 79th Charter Day Anniversary on Wednesday.

In a message, Rama recalled how some people doubted his dream of having a world-class hospital built in the city.

“This is the hospital we should fight for,” Rama said.

Construction of the first four floors of the new hospital building is ongoing. C.E. Padilla Construction Inc. already completed 30.15 percent of phase 1 of the hospital building project which started on October last year.
