LIKE Mandaue City, Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Paz Radaza said they will extend financial aid to settlers living under the Mandaue-Mactan Bridge at the Lapu-Lapu side for them to vacate the area.

But Radaza said they also want the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and its contractor Jegma Construction and Development Corp. to also give financial aid to the families so they will leave the site.

Radaza said she will leave it to Pajo barangay chairman Junard Chan to negotiate with the contractor in persuading the families to leave so the bridge repairs can start.
