AN ex-convict was shot to death by a motorcycle-riding assailant in Barangay Tejero, Cebu City last Monday afternoon.
Marlon Omega succumbed to gunshot wounds in the back and chest.
Police said the man had just been released from jail after he was convicted for drug charges.
The man was also implicated in several theft cases in Tejero and neighboring barangays, said police.
SPO4 Rogelio Canete said Omega was sitting on a chair outside his shanty when a man on a motorcycle arrived and shot him.
Police said a wounded Omega ran but was chased by the gunman and finished him off with more shots.
Police said further investigation will be made to determine the motive of the killing and identify the perpetrator.
