TOYOTA Team Cebu is off to a red-hot start as it bagged podium finishes in the first leg of the the 2016 Toyota Vios Cup at the Clark International Speedway in Angeles, Pampanga.
This as Oscar Suarez, Sean Velasco and Bobby Pangilinan managed to land in the top three of their respective classes of the one-make race.
Suarez outraced 18 other competitors, including celebrities, to emerge victorious in the promotional class while Velasco finished second overall in the sporting class that featured 22 other competitors. Pangilinan settled for third in the promotional class.
Team captain Lord Seno and Jette Calderon were not quite as impressive but the veteran Seno was still happy with the way the team performed overall.
“It was tough as we were racing in a track that they (competitors) were really familiar with but the team did very well. [It was a] very inspiring performance,” Seno said.
