Half day work for Capitol today

By: Victor Anthony V. Silva March 23,2016 - 09:37 AM

The Cebu provincial government declared a half-day work schedule at the Capitol today to give employees time to prepare for the Holy Week break.

Provincial Administrator Mark Tolentino, in a memorandum, said this was “in order for … employees to fully observe the Lenten Celebration with all its religious fervor.”

All department or office heads and employees may take the afternoon off except those offices performing vital functions. These include the Provincial Engineer’s Office, Disaster Office, Health Office, Social Welfare Office, and Maintenance.

The Capitol has at least 1,500 regular and casual employees.
